I usually don't have any problems using coupons at HEB. My two main haunts are the 32nd St location in Groves and the one on Hwy 365. My coupons do beep sometimes, but the cashiers push them through.

My sis-in-law uses the Dowlen location and she complains a lot about using coupons at HEB. I only go out to that location if I need a lot of produce, so I don't use coupons while I'm there.

Next time it happens, you should email HEB's customer relations. Give them the specific products, the coupon information, and the details from your cashier. Ask them to clarify their coupon policy. (And let us know what they say! I don't know why everyone keeps their policies hush-hush. Policies make everyone's lives much easier.)

Do you have any problems with HEB taking coupons. I always have issues unless I am only using theirs. For instance, on their buy 1 of this product, get 1 of that product free. When I use a coupon on the "buy this product" the register then beeps when I use the store coupon for the free product. I was told I was not allowed to use a coupon on their combo LOCO deals for either item.
